Latest research from the British Marine Federation shows there has been a slight reduction in trends for the leisure, superyacht and small commercial marine industry in the face of a weak economy but it continues to hold firm.

The British Marine Electronic Association (BMEA), one of the largest and most proactive associations within the British Marine Federation (BMF) publishes a quaterly new on-line journal called BMEA Direct which features articles about the latest developments in the maritime electronics industry.

Both models set a benchmark for all future Marine VHF radios.

From 12th January 2012, the McMurdo Fast Find Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) will be permitted for use on land in the UK as well as at sea, following a change in legislation by OFCOM, the government-approved regulatory authority for the broadcasting and telecommunications industries in the United Kingdom.
