Saffier Yachts installs Raymarine e7 and i70

12 June 2012

Dutch yacht builder Saffier Yachts is installing Raymarine’s new compact e7 touch screen multifunctional display (MFD) and stylish i70 instrument across all its yacht ranges.

The first Saffier boats to benefit from Raymarine’s latest marine electronics are already on the water.  Saffier Yachts’ Classic range (Saffier Sc 6.5, 8 and 10m) and the award winning Elegance (Saffier Se 23, 26 and 33ft) range for day and weekend sailing now include Raymarine as the equipment of choice.

The e7 MFD offers technical innovation, advanced power, expanded networking and the acclaimed HybridTouch™ technology which means users can quickly switch between intelligent touchscreen and sturdy keypad control. Raymarine’s new highly intuitive LightHouse user interface makes the new e Series multifunction displays remarkably simple and easy to use.  Using the full power and capability of its inbuilt Bluetooth and WiFi, the e7 can be controlled remotely using the RCU-3 remote control or via Raymarine’s newly released apps for tablets and smartphones; RayControl and RayRemote.

Packed with powerful features, stunning graphics and using the LightHouse user interface, the stylish i70 heralds Raymarine’s next generation of instruments. Boasting a 100mm (4.1 inch) over-sized LCD display, the i70 instrument displays maxi 43mm digits in full screen mode.  The superior 160˚ horizontal and vertical viewing angles ensure the screen display can be seen clearly from all angles, and its anti-reflective coating gives improved visibility in bright sunlight.

Dennis Hennevanger, Owner and Director at Saffier Yachts, says, “We use Raymarine because it’s a truly integrated electronics solution, and it’s easy to navigate through the instruments.  Our customers choose Raymarine because the design and styling of the products really appeals to them and Raymarine’s international service offer is excellent, no matter where our customers are.

”Saffier and Raymarine make a great combination, timeless classic boat designs with modern deck and cockpit and the latest innovations in stylish marine electronics.  For our customers it’s all about effortless sailing.”

Saffier Yachts, based at IJmuiden, is one of the leading manufacturers of daysailer yachts in Europe.  The company has twice been a winner of European Yacht of the Year.  www.saffieryachts.com
