US-British Pact will ensure wider use of installation standard
The National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) in conjunction with the International Marine Electronics Association (IMEA) has signed an agreement with the British Marine Federation (BMF) and the British Marine Electronics Association (BMEA) to jointly develop international criteria for technicians that will ensure proper application of the NMEA Installation Standard in Great Britain.

Icom UK Joins the RNLI’s Ambassador Scheme
Icom UK has just joined the Ambassador Scheme, set up by the RNLI to promote RNLI membership and to enhance their links with the marine industry. Icom UK will be working to promote the RNLI’s membership on selected marine radio communication products. To this end, Icom UK will be offering a year’s introductory membership with the purchase of either the IC-M71 VHF, IC-M505 or IC-M603 VHF/DSC Marine Transceiver .

Icom UK at the PSP Southampton Boat Show 2010
Icom UK will be showcasing its extensive range of marine radio products at this years Southampton Boat Show. The UK’s leading outdoor boat show, runs from the 10th until 19th September 2010 and attracts hundreds of boats, exhibitors and visitors. Icom UK is on stand H018, situated just outside the southern entrance to Ocean Hall.

Hanse Yachts Group in New Deal with Simrad Yachting
Hanse, Moody, Dehler and Fjord yachts, all part of the HanseGroup, have agreed a new deal with Simrad Yachting and sister electronics brand Lowrance, both brands within the Navico group, to supply marine navigation equipment to a range of vessels throughout 2010/2011.
