With lots of onboard systems using legacy NMEA 0183 data, Digital Yacht has devised a NMEA to WiFi adaptor – a small black box unit which converts traditional NMEA navigation and instrument data into a wireless TCP/IP feed.

Simrad Yachting has announced it has received two top product awards at the 70th Miami International Boat Show. The Simrad NSE multifunction display and NSO Offshore navigation system were honored with Motor Boating Magazine’s 2011 Best of the Year Award, and the Simrad BSM-2 Broadband Sounder received the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) Innovation Award.
