We are pleased to offer a new date for the Marine Electronics Installer course – 9 December 2010 in Wroxham, Norfolk. The Marine Electronics Installer Program (MEI), established in 2004, is to encourage a high level of professional expertise in entry-level and mid-level technicians and to lead them to further develop their skills.

C A Clase received two prestigious awards during this year’s METS from manufacturers KVH and Nauticomp. On Monday 15th November, C A Clase received the ‘Biggest Total Turnover in 2010′ for the second year in a row, at KVH’s annual distributor awards. This was followed by an award from Nauticomp, for the ‘Distributor of the Year’.

Garmin had its new GHP 12 sailboat autopilot system on show at METS as part of its fully networked package of electronics for sail and motor boats. Bringing robust performance and sophisticated control capabilities to 20 to 70 foot sailboats equipped with linear-actuated steering systems, it adds to the comprehensive range from the global leader in satellite navigation.

Garmin has announced the echo series – a new line of standalone fishfinders that raise the standard for sonar performance and ease of use. From economical 8-level greyscale units to a full array of super-bright colour models, these new Garmin systems sport an updated look, and with Garmin HD-ID target tracking technology, they deliver the separation and definition fisherman need and expect.

Garmin has announced two new xHD open-array radar models, which will give mariners high-definition picture quality in a robust yet affordable package. The GMR 404 xHD and GMR 406 xHD complement the powerful xHD family of open-array radar scanners, which now offer the same high performance in a 4, 6 or 12 kilowatt scanner.

Digital Yacht, the UK based manufacturer of navigation and communication products has branched into the professional market with the launch of a new division called Digital Deep Sea. Digital Deep Sea specifically designs and manufactures products for the super-yacht, workboat, shipping, fishing and naval sectors and the first product to be introduced is a fully type approved, Class A AIS transponder called the SmarterTrack CLA1000.

C A Clase has announced that Westport Yachts has listed Nauticomp as a standard fit for its future range of pilot house and tri deck superyachts.

Mastervolt has signed a three year ‘strategic supplier’ contract with the Ferretti Group, a world leader in designing, building and marketing luxury motoryachts with a unique portfolio of some of the most prestigious and exclusive brands in the nautical world. This contract will extend the cooperation that started about eight years ago.

MASTERVOLT and STEYR MOTORS have formed a working partnership to develop and distribute a range of Serial Hybrid diesel-electric drive installations for boats.

The appointment of a new Brand Manager, a Sales Manager for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), and a Sales Manager for the Asia/Pacific region, as well as the launch of a ‘modern look’ updated and upgraded website will all contribute towards strengthening and confirming Mastervolt’s position as the world’s leading manufacturer of power electronics systems.
