British Marine Electronics Association Conference 2009 Sponsored by Victron Energy

The 2009 British Marine Electronics Association (BMEA) Conference took place on 21st October at the Novotel Hotel, Southampton. The event sponsored by Victron Energy had over 80 delegates from all over the marine electronic and electrical sectors of the marine industry. The conference provided an opportunity for all sides of the marine industry to get together not only to discuss topics of mutual interest but also to create and build beneficial business relationships.

Icom “Assassin” Murders the Competition!

Icom UK have teamed up with sucessful yachtsman and Kent architect Peter Jackson, whose Stimson 42 yacht ‘Assassin’ was renamed the ‘Icom Assassin’ earlier this year. As part of the sponsorship, Icom UK supplied Skipper/Helmsman Peter and part owner Gary Shaffer with an IC-M505 VHF/DSC marine transceiver, Icom HM-162 Waterproof Remote-control Microphone and two IC-M71 handheld marine transceivers for use on the vessel.
